Privacy policy
Last updated October 29, 2026
This policy covers clintlibby.com, run by Clint Libby in Bend, Oregon. In short: the site collects what you type into its forms, some technical details sent with each form, and privacy-friendly page analytics. Your information is never sold.
What you give us
- Join my email list: which description fits you best, your first name and your email address.
- Work with me and MapKnock demo: which option you choose, the three call times you pick, your name, email, company and website (optional), and what you need help with or what you sell.
- Book a solar review: your street address and ZIP code, whether you own the home, roof type and age, sun exposure, monthly power bill range, interest in a battery, whether you have an electric vehicle, notes, any power bill or competing bid you upload, the review time you pick, your name, email and phone, and whether you agreed to texts and automated calls.
What’s sent automatically with a form
When you submit a form, these details are recorded with it so requests can be routed, spam can be stopped, and we can tell which channels bring people here:
- Your IP address and the approximate location it maps to (city, region, ZIP code and country, not your exact address).
- Your browser, device type, screen size, language and time zone.
- The page you were on, the site that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link you followed (for example, utm_source=instagram).
- The date and time of the submission.
Analytics
The site uses first-party analytics. That means visits are measured by this site itself, on its own domain, not by an ad network or third-party tracker. It records which page you landed on, the site that referred you, campaign tags, which sections you scrolled to, which buttons and links you clicked, whether you completed a form, your approximate location (city, region and country), and your device type and browser.
It doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t follow you to other websites, and doesn’t store your IP address. To count unique visitors, it keeps a one-way code made from your IP address and browser that changes every day and can’t be turned back into either. The numbers are only looked at in aggregate, in a weekly report (for example, how many people visited and how many clicked through to MapKnock).
Cookies and browser storage
No advertising or tracking cookies are set. For the length of your visit, the site keeps a random visit ID and any campaign tags in your browser’s session storage, which clears when you close the tab.
Spam protection
Forms are checked automatically for bots (an invisible check, a hidden field, a minimum time to fill out the form, and a limit on repeated submissions). These checks use the technical details above and are not used to profile you.
How it’s used
- To answer your request: confirming a call or demo time, getting you a solar bid, or adding you to the email list.
- For paid sessions, to send you a payment link and intake form after a time is confirmed.
- To send you a confirmation email right after you submit a form.
- For the email list, to send occasional emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- If you book a solar review, Clint will call you at the time you picked. If you also check the consent box, Clint and the Oregon solar installer he works with may text you or call using automated technology about your bid. Consent isn’t a condition of any purchase. Reply STOP to any text to opt out.
- To understand which pages and channels work, so the site can improve.
Who it’s shared with
Your information is never sold or rented. It’s shared only with the service providers that host this site and send and store its email on Clint’s behalf, and only so they can do that work. If you book a solar review, your solar details, any files you upload and your contact information are also shared with the Oregon solar installer Clint works with (not Clint’s own company) so they can prepare your bid. It may also be disclosed if the law requires it.
How long it’s kept
Form submissions, including any files you upload, are kept for as long as they’re needed to follow up with you and run the email list, or until you ask for them to be deleted.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time with the link in any email. To see, correct or delete your information, or to withdraw consent to calls and texts, email hello@clintlibby.com. Depending on where you live, including Oregon, you may have additional privacy rights, and requests will be handled as those laws require.
Children
This site isn’t meant for children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it.
